EN QUELQUES MOTS... la mini biographie

Le groupe se forme en 1965, et c'est dans un club de Los Angeles ("Le whisky à gogo") que Jim Morrison, John Densmore, Ray Manzarek et Robbie Krieger, vont faire leurs débuts.

Leur premier album éponyme sort en 1967, on y retrouve notamment le mytique "Light my fire".
L'année suivant, le groupe, prolifique, sort deux albums, et prennent un place importante dans le mouvement hippie.

Puis les albums se succèdent, les succès s'enchainent, mais les excès aussi, sur un mode très sexe, drogues et rock'n'roll. On pourra notamment retenir cette citation de Jim Morrison : "Je suis le Lezard roi, je peux faire n'importe quoi", même se foutre à poil sur scène...

Seulement voila, le jeune homme, né en 1943, ira trop loin un jour de juillet 1971 et finira ses jours à Paris, où il repose désormais dans le célèbre cimetierre du Père Lachaise.

Les 3 autres membres poursuivront 2 ans encore l'aventure avant de la clore définitivement.
